The 2 posts I saw before they got edited specifically told people to check out forum XYZ (or 2 of them in one of the posts I saw). They did it intentionally TO get banned.

I've been working all day today, so I missed all the bannage, but let me get this straight...

So, it's okay for GFY to take money from a company promoting sites that many people think are built mostly upon stolen content, yet many longtime members and supporters of GFY, disgruntled about GFY not answering questions about supporting content thieves, get banned for suggesting alternatives to GFY?

IMHO, you people that run GFY need to start doing some soul searching. It appears you are on the wrong side in this battle.

Furthermore, how hard would it have been to make the competing sites list as hahahahaha (banned word) or to edit and provide a warning?

You can now post links to forums if you're not just trying to promote a competing board in order to "steal" gfy members. But they decide who is and who isn't. Presumably you can now post links to show information but it's not worth the risk if you don't want to get banned or if you're not a bro. If you're a bro, no worries.
