It is actually not a traffic leak for several reasons.

1) WebsiteSecure.org does not use link codes of any kind and does not interfere with cookies in any way. So if an affiliate sends traffic to a site and the user checks the certificate (or even if they verify the certificate on websitesecure.org) when they return to buy the site the original affiliate still gets full credit for the sale.

2) Most traffic sees the seal on the join page and signs up or does not. A small fraction of users click the seal to see the certificate (which does not cause them to leave the join page in any way. Doing so does not interfere with affiliate credit for sales in any way.

In reality, the increase in ratios that WebsiteSecure.org brings to a join page will result in more sales for affiliate traffic (all credited correctly to the affiliate), less concern that your traffic and bookmarkers are being burned by a particular paysite, and the chance of losing even ONE sale because of websitesecure.org is pretty much zero.
