How do you keep your account info private for domain names?

For my domain names I just put the word "private" for most of the contact info, but I just got a letter from NETSOl saying that ICANN notified them my info is not valid and will pull my domain name if I dont fix it fast.

How do you guys keep your info private?

I just signed up for a proxy service through GoDaddy.com. The proxy service is set up so that when someone does a whois, it shows up as owned by the proxy company and doesn't show your personal info, and they pass on any phone calls/e-mails/letters to you.

Well, gee, someone may have a valid reason for contacting you (in other words, someone you'd really like to hear from). Instead of pretending like you're on the lam from the Feds, why not just put up a webmaster@ or @hotmail.com as an e-mail and use a Mailboxes, Inc. or something along that line to receive mail? A cell phone won't tell anyone where you live or your name, either.

I'm pretty sure the registrars will be cracking down on people whose information is bogus or doesn't allow an actual contact. After all, that is what "contact" information is all about isn't it? No need to give away sensitive information, just information that allows people to contact you.

If you're a real business, act like one.
