The Japanese had Unit 731, but it paled in comparison to any of the nazi run concentration camps. The germans were carrying out these same types of experiements and more in Europe.

History has many villians- Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein (he gassed the kurds and built bridges with their bodies), but I think most people would agree Hitler and the SS have been responsible for the greatest crimes against humanity.:2 cents:

Still think it would depend on whom you ask. Say the American Indians for instance and who they think were the worst. Aside from being just about removed from the planet, persecuted, and had insane crimes committed against them, they were subject to germ warfare before Hitler was even born. (OK maybe he was, not 100% sure)

I just hope they won't be asking an arm and a leg for their traffic.

Couldn't resist.

This is what I mean though, from what I've ever heard or read about it (granted I haven't really studied it much), they were far from the worst in acts of cruelty. Chinese governments practically wrote the book on torture techniques, you have bloodthirsty rulers such as Vlad Tepes who would do far worse than gassing or executing people systematically and so on.

Not to mention, many of those simply wanted to conquer; in Germany's defense, this all came about due to the murder of Franz Ferdinand which set off World War I and then being forced into the Treaty of Versailles which they didn't agree with and which put all blame, etc... on them.

IMO nothing wrong with defending your own country; for example, the United States could probably solve a lot of their own problems and improve their people's quality of life if they focused on their own country instead of trying to be the world's hero. In a more drastic manner, that's all Germany really did...

Chinese I think is the more cruel to be honest... you just don't hear about it because they keep it very quiet.

Google Dr. Josef Mengele, known as the Angel of Death. Just one of the many nazi scientists who performed bizarre medical experiments on jews and other prisoners of war w/o any anesthesia. Horrible horrible acts and not just on men and women, but children as well. The gas chambers were one of the most humane ways to meet an end under nazi imprisonment.

Mideval torture was very brutal, but at least they didn't have the technology / science to bring you back and try it again.
