I think more like 20-30 mintues. But could have been down longer whick is why I asked. First timed I checked all day when I did.
And people start some pretty fuckin stupud threads around here. This might be one but nearly not as bad as some shit.

Hey Dudes.
FYI, Our server was under attack by a worm earlier today, it managed to tunnel through an insecure version of SSH. Whats even more interesting is this virus is completely undocumented. Looks like a nasty new one is going to be knocking on your server doors quite soon. Its traits include deleting all virtual accounts, and renaming all files on your webserver to *.gz I dont know much about this stuff so let me know if any of you have had similar experiences. My server admins managed to isolate the problem, kill it and its processes, and restore the server back to functionality within about 15 minutes. Oh, and our OpenSSH has been updated.  |
