Enforcing the cellphone ban in Ontario next month...
A few cops I've talked with recently said they'll start enforcing the cellphone behind the wheel ban in October.
It's long overdue IMO. However, one cop also mentioned it'll provide them with "just cause" to pull over nearly anyone they want (especially known drug dealers). But they acknowledge there'll likely be a LOT of court challenges against the tickets. I can imagine people having to get printouts of their phone records to fight an unwarranted ticket. Should be interesting. |
