No one said I was going to fuck anyone for anything. Bartering dont mean fucking.
I am looking to have someone build and maintain a new website for me for a % of the profits. Is this not fair? I do my part and they do their part and we both make good money.
The crappy site I have currently have takes 1/2 of my profits and its very limited on what I can do with it but it still pays my rent and car payment so I could imagin how much a good site could bring in. The other half of the profit is paying someone elses rent and car payments I guess. hmmm......
If I barter with someone to do this for me and I give them a % then that is paying them. "Cash" not "Pussy Bucks". lol
I would just rather do it this way as I feel Im less likely to get ripped off as I dont know all the ins and outs of building and maintaining websights like most of you here do. The ins and outs Im familiar with are way diffrent "trust me".
If someone agrees to help me we both have to be honest and work together to make money. If I pay someone cash up front they can say, heres your site but you need this and that and some other stuff but thanks for the cash and good luck. Then Im right back here looking for more help and no one wants that.

Thats was I was thinking but I guess that is pocket change to a lot of people here cuz I only have a couple serious people interested so far. Most everyone I talked to wants me to turn over total control and they will send me a monthly check but that aint gona happen. I will just keep what I have before I do that.Comment

Even with a 50/50 split, somoene is going to run your site and you are going to have a check sent to you. They have to have total control over the site since you do not know anything about running a website. Your only other option is to pay to have a website built for you. There are very good website designers on this site. Then you can either pay someone to add the updates for you, or you can learn how to do them yourself.Comment

the problem is those of us who have been doing this for 10 years have been through this time and time again and KNOW for a fact that in the end one of you is going to get fucked over.
You will either get someone else to make some changes and screw over the designer or cut them out of their profit, or youll end up in a legal battle with someone who has a contract for a percentage of your site. No way around or out of it.
Some of us have seen so many models like this come to the board and want to barter for design, as someone said, would you barter for your pussy o your next escort deal? Nope.
The oldest trick in the book of getting something for very cheap is to go about this way, the rest of us know its simple cheaper and more effective to pay someone out right.
These deals may look good on forums and maybe even on paper, but the reality is, they NEVER work out. You will eventually want to use someone else or something and the contract will bind you... simple as that, been there done it so many times LOLLast edited by Fletch XXX; 09-22-2009, 04:10 AM.

I havent had anyone else complain about any function disabled messeges.
The % would be negotiated depending on who did what. The same person that takes my pix and films me now could keep doing it or who ever I work with could do it, that is something else that could be negotiated. I want to make movies of escort sessions cuz my Fans always want to know what a escort does and how it all works so I thought I could make reality movies.
There is no dought that there are very good website designers on this site, thats why Im here but the only one that will send me a check is someone like ccbill. Whomever builds and maintains my site will not have control over my money but they will have acess to copies of the statemnts along with their checks so they know that are getting the correct percentage.
I believe that if we put in a contract that the % can be renegotiated on a anual basis then it will work out. I understand that things could change and someone could be doing a lot more work then what was agreed on at the start. Like if I was to become a feature dancer and traveled I wouldnt have as much time to do my part. But on the otherhand I would meet a lot of new girls and Im bi so that might be a plus. Its always a chance and maybe there is someone out there that is new to webdesign that is looking for a break like I am and neither one of us really have nothing to loose by working together.
The only people I have ever fucked in my life tottaly enjoyed it.

Bottom line Misty, scrape up a couple grand and just hire a good designer to redo your site (also get rid of that function disabled ;). Make sure to have an open forum on the site or a blog and try to get your own traffic.
It sounds like you want a traffic hog to scoop you up and pay for your design and send you loads of traffic. Won't happen.
Have you read this board today? Tubes, etc. You need your own traffic and need to generate yourself. Open sites that are updated daily with a backdoor for paying members do well right now.
You don't need a partner. You need a designer who has some knowledge of SE techniques to set it up correctly.Comment

As others have said, very few partnerships will ever work out.
If I was you, I would just pay somebody to make my existing site look better. You could give it a face lift relatively cheaply, there are always designers looking for work here, and you can get plenty of ideas of what you want by looking at other sites online.
As regards ongoing site updates and management, this is where you can use your bartering skills. If you have any members in your fan club, offer them a free membership for doing it for you or free membership plus whatever they need. Somebody who likes you enough to join your fan club, may like you enough to help you for free.Comment

The problem is, I dont own my website "its a cookie cutter" anyone can use rare-escort site. Its free but they take half of everything you make so its not really free. Most girls dont take advantage of the Fan Club option like I have, they just use it to advertise their escort service. All I can do is fill in the blanks where they provide them. If I hire someone to build a site I wouldt know how to set up a membership like I have now. I have sent newsletters to my Fans and I get a lot of promisses but nothing ever happens or they slap something together that really sucks and they get pissed that I didnt like it so I would rather keep my Fans out of it.
Is anyone else getting a function disabled messege on my site? Im not seeing it.
