My taste in cars has changed as I've gotten older. I used to lust after a Ferrari but never bought one even though I could afford it. I did buy 3 different Corvettes, several different trucks, a Hummer H1 and a H2 over the years. But these days I dont see the point in spending all the money when I work at home and it will just sit in the garage all the time.
My current truck is a really nice 4x4 that I bought brand new in '05, and it only has 35k miles on it now. If I didnt take trips from Vegas to Long Beach to go scuba diving several times a year it would probably have 10k miles less.Comment

I've drove a Lambo Gallardo and an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and for me there is no competition at all.. The Aston Martin destroys the Lambo hands down. I drove it on a track along with a ferrari and porsche in the same day and the Aston is unbelievable. I'm defo gonna buy one at some point when I finally go back to Scotland to stay for a while.Comment

I have been to the Aston Martin factory over here in the UK when I was doing courier work
It is like a small town inside.
I turned up in a van and had to drive all the way round to the back, there were Aston Martins parked all over the place ..I was so fucking cautious I did not want to back into or hit one I was going about 10 mph ..lol .. I also felt kinda out of place with all these Astons parked every where and there I am in a shitty old van..

That's what makes them so great though! The story is beautiful, Enzo Ferrari was being an elitest dick to Ferruccio Lamborghini when he criticized their clutch mechanism, so he was like "fuck you Enzo" and built his own supercar. It's the best capitalism story ever.
