Try shooting night time shots at lots of different exposures. I do and then bound to get one right.

You have over exposed some of them. Don't be afraid to have the buildings dark, it's the play of the lights that make a good "City Nightime" shot.

Saturation = Control U
Contrast = Image - Adjust - Brightness/Contrast
Unsharpmask = Filters - Sharpen.

Those shots are great in color, even more interesting in B&W.

Buildings and landscapes are perfect for high contrast black and white imagery. They become very expressive when you remove the color.

And portraits in black and white really convey so much more depth and personality to a picture. Here are two I shot that turned out perfect that way.

I love night shots! Here's an idea:

Set the F-stop so that you can shoot a 30 second exposure. Put the camera on a tripod, obviously. For 20 seconds of the exposure go stand in the photo. You'll look like a ghost in the actual image. Here's an example of my girlfriend and I standing in front of the Mark Hopkins in San Francisco at night (as ghosts):

Here's another example:

A few more night shots:

Lastly, an image taken around noon but looks taken at night:
