    What are you playing on the Wii?

    Just got a new one,

    Sold my last one for a nice profit when they were hard to find

    What are you playing on it? Recommend me some stuff

      I got Wii Sports, Sports Resort which is loads of fun, Spongebob Globs Of Doom, Game Party, Super Mario Galaxy and a couple others. I also bought a couple old school games from the Wii shopping channel. Getting the Beatles Rock Band bundle next as well as Super Mario Cart, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and there's tons I wanna get really. Wiis are so much fun. I play when I have time which isn't much.

          I played that Resort Sports at BestBuy yesterday. Man that airplane shit was awesome. The sword fighting too.

              I aint got one, Im to old to play on the Wii, I would most prob have a heart attack trying to play those games. Although my son did have one and I did play that sports game thingy which tells you your age or something ..that allmost killed me..lol he got bored with it (like most things he gets) and sold it in the end.

                                                          Sports, Sports Resort, Wii Fit, Mario Kart, and a bunch of Virtual Console games (hadn't played Zelda Link to the Past in ages so just got that and playing it).

                                                          For people whining about kiddie games, get games like Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda and stfu. Seriously. Wii is considerably more fun and entertaining than the other two systems combined if you allow yourself to enjoy it.

                                                              Whats Wii Fit like?

                                                              I was thinking of getting that or maybe the EA Active one (need to lose a few lol) Metroid Prime was excellent on the GameCube so might have to check that one out aswell.

                                                              Sports Resort is definately the shit! so many games on it that you can play for ages! still getting used to frisby golf, the short holes are really hard compared to the longer one's, I keep throwing it too far

                                                              And yeah the Wii is definately not just for kids

I think my issue is that I know that the best exercise I can do is getting outside and playing tennis, not to mention Sports and Sports Resort along with other games I have can provide probably as good of exercise as Wii Fit, so Wii Fit rarely sees me anymore. One thing I'd suggest - if you do get it and you're the sedentary lifestyle type where you're generally inside working, screwing around online or watching TV, the best way to use it is probably for about 15-20 mins of activity a few times a day throughout the day...i.e. when you're done the first couple times, keep the Wii on but go back to what you were doing and a few hours later return back to the Wii to do another 15-20 mins. Provides for a good active break.

                                                                          Doh, too late to finish editing my last post.

                                                                          The things Wii Fit has break down into cardio, yoga/stretching, "weight" workouts (which I never really got into), and balance games. Balance games IMO are 10 times more interesting than the rest of them but the cardio and yoga aren't too bad. It either grades you on how well you do or tracks score/time and so you can always try to better your best grade/score/time in the different activities, which is cool.

                                                                          Weightwise, it tracks weight and BMI. The prob with that can be if you're particularly muscley for your frame - then it'll consistently say you're overweight or obese when you're probably not. You can set a goal for a particular weight/BMI to reach in a particular length of time. For people that don't track their weight at all who could benefit from it, it's pretty nice.

                                                                              There is a ton of vids on youtube showing you what it can do so i've been looking at them. And i've seen there is a newer one coming out in october so might wait to get that, wii fit plus I think it's called.

                                                                              And yeah, from what i've seen the balance excersises do look pretty cool! isn't there like snowboarding and stuff like that? that could be a good laugh

                                                                                                  I only noticed it because I was on youtube check out wii fit and stumbled across a video of it. looks like there is quite a few more things to do on it.

I can not wait to get Rock Band. Getting a Wii was a good investment. Keeps kids busy when they are over and when there's nothing to do/bored you can play with friends or by yourself and have lots of fun.

They even sell classic controllers that plug in to your Wii remote. I got the original Punch Out, Super Mario Brothers, Contra, etc... They have all of the old games.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Is there really no GTA for wii? That was kind of disappointing.

                                                                                                                                                                                  My favorite games on the ps2 are probably Deus Ex, Black, Killswitch, Rainbox 6, 007, GTA, stuff like that. If anyone knows of a good game similar to those let me know, I just got a wii last week.

It's a pretty basic fighting game, but it's fun as hell and actually uses the WiiMote's motion controls for your swords/weapons/etc.
