Yup - it's sad and pathetic. They don't even try to cloak it anymore. If it's not obvious to people now with the FDA wanting to ban e-cigs and not regular cigarettes then we're living in a nation of complete idiots.Want to crush it in mainstream with Facebook ads? Hit me up.Comment

Tobacco has always been in bed with the govt... This is not a huge shocker.. Its also one of the biggest things stopping weed from being legal....Comment

They have had a hard on for these "nicotine delivery devices" for a while now. Seizing shipments from china, etc.Comment

it makes sense to ban new products that could cause harm then to attempt to knock off established products that are known to cause problems. you can pretend that real tobacco was grandfathered in or that the tobacco companies are controlling this.
though the tobacco companies could own that market in just a couple days if they felt inclined without having to do some underhanded fda crap. so unless you really think these new companies could really compete with big tobacco when it comes to marketing or getting these into the hands of people you must be kidding. i know for a fact that big tobacco could give out free samples of e-cigs until every other company was out of business if they wanted, not to mention their branding is fucking strong. not sure what the other companies names are but given the choice i would pick up a marlboro or camel version over some off brand.
so i just see it as the fda blocking something before it gets a foothold and it becomes a real big problem latter in the future. it is not just tobacco either. if the fda was to go back and kill off all of the older shit that they would not approve today lots of products would be gone. many of those products have no real lobby powers either. an example would be asprin. with todays fda that drug would never be allowed to be approved without a prescription at very least.Comment
