    Interesting Land For Sale

I came across this land-for-sale advertisement today.

Interesting property for someone in the market for such a place...

14k for 40 acres seems a little off. What's wrong with the land?

Trying to think. Someone on gfy bought almost an identical deal in the same area. Think its so cheap due to access issues.

Good place to build a tiny Vegas of your own, powered entirely by solar panels... or a unique movie studio, or cheesy theme hotel, etc...

Chile is currently the leading lithium metal producer in the world, with Argentina next. Both countries recover the lithium from brine pools. In the United States lithium is similarly recovered from brine pools in Nevada. Maybe worth a mineral survey?

There are deals like this all over the place. It is mostly land that is completely undeveloped and out in the middle of nowhere. I bought a place like this several years ago. The place I got was in Southern Oregon and it was about two acres and I got it for around 3K. It had a road that went to it and could be zoned for residential. I figured I would sit on it for a while and who knows, maybe one day build a small cabin on it or something.

Eventually after sitting on it for about 5 years I got an offer to sell it for about 5 times what I bought it for.I had only visited it twice in 5 years so I decided to sell it.

Little did I know a few years after that land was bought they developed one of the top golf resorts in the nation about 5 miles from there and the value went way up. Had I sat on it for another 5 years I would have made 50-100 times or more than the purchase price for it.

I guess you live in a learn.

You could more than likely go geo-thermal out there. It is in the middle of no where though. Reno (over 2 hours away) would be the biggest place that has decent shopping, cultural events etc. Once you head east of Reno there really is not much other than small towns until you get to Salt Lake City in Utah. Winnemucca has about 10k residents and is just over an hour east of the property for sale.

That Nevada-Arizona drive to the Grand Canyon has some scary isolated trailer communities. I often want to drive in - see what type of person lives there.

But then again I'd probably get shot.

Maybe a good place to start your very own Bunny Ranch.

It's a silly location now, but who knows what it may be worth in 20 or 30 years. Likely much more than $14K, but I guess most of today's real estate fits into that scenario.
