Pretty much only happens in the hood in the US. In the US I live in a city of 22k that is 38 years old and we have had one murder, ever. Average house price is less then 200k so this is not a upscale location either. Just a suburb to the big city where all the crime is.Comment

Played black jack next to him at the Luxor hotel. I was in Vegas at my friend's bachelor party. That's why i refuse to live in the metropolitan area of any city in the world. It's much more fun & convenient but 1,000x more dangerous.
If you move to the suburbs, carry a gun on your hip (something small concealed) and stay out of convenience stores/gas stations at night. And you don't visit road side bars....or go to shady clubs, or visit high drug neighborhoods/apartments. Your chances of ever getting stabbed are almost non-existent in suburban America

I want to move to the city (downtown Boston) but theres a lot of crime. I know someone who walked outside of his townhouse and 2 black guys jumped him and hit him in the head with a baseball bat and sent him to the hospital in critical condition. In a very nice neighborhood.Comment
