Don't know about how long it will take, but interactive porn is the future. Fuck watching a video when you can have a full blown simulation.

From an outside perspective, a lot will change. Interactive is definitely the future but in the near future, it doesn't look good with issues of illegal tubes, piracy, etc..

One thing I have wondered is why someone has not tried to create an iTunes like App to sling porn that makes it easy for the user to browse and buy what they want while the owners still retain control and copyright. At worst they could develop an Air application and use Adobe's Flash DRM to control access to their memberships/content while also enabling the inclusion of branding and advertisers control.

Porn isn't much different than mainstream. Consumers will need to be able to consume their content on any device/format they preferred. But until everyone protects their content or disallows downloading, there will never be a level playing field among porn producers and those that can't afford the Adobe DRM technology will use it as a selling point to customers that they still allow downloads while the bigger companies want to control the user experience.

Outside of what has been done, I am not sure how much more innovation can be done when it comes to porn other than develop a system/experience that can emulate/mimic the sexual experience without needing an actual partner.
