    Costa Rica forcing citizens to get AH1N1 vaccine

    Just read how they are authorized to use force to bring people in and vaccinate them against their will. They supposedly will do the entire population of 1.6 million Costa Ricans. Few quotes:

    "The vaccination is mandatory. It is important that the population go to the clinics. We will first make call to those who are to be vaccinated, then we will go looking for them if they do not come in", said Morice.

    The vice-ministra said that those people on the list who do not want to receive the vaccine, will be obligated to do so. "The idea is not use force, even though we have the right to go with the police to pull people from their homes and take them to a medical centre to be vaccinated", explained Morice.

                  And I don't understand how they would even consider using force, seeing as most ticos are just sheep and will easily herd into the free clinics and get the vaccines themselves. I don't know how many people I've talked to who have bragged about doing just that. LOL

                      "The mandatory vaccination is based on government decree 35703-S of the Ley General de Salud published on January 21, 2010 in the official government publication, La Gaceta."

                                      I said in the Media, not at the airport. Do they charge for the shots in the airport? If so I would imagine advertising to sell said product would be in their best interest, so ya a banner or sign there might seem like a good idea for them to do. lol

                                          I suspect it's an agreement they had with the U.S. or something... after all, Costa Rica was the chosen testing ground for the vaccine originally. Likely they are getting some rock bottom prices (or free) on the vaccines with the mandate they must give them to all their citizens...

                                              Is this done on a TICA schedule? If so I think you all will be safe from getting the shot. Their supplies will expire before they get all the shots done. lol
