Been catching a lot of this on TBS and TV Land and I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's the best show Fox ever had (Simpsons was only good in the beginning and has sucked for a long time IMO, and House may overtake MWC soon in overall greatness but not there yet IMO) and one of the better sitcoms of all time. I guess I didn't appreciate it as much when it was originally on because I was just a kid/young teen but all the eps are consistently pretty funny. I hate Fox too and most Fox shows, but Fox really had it going on back then with MWC and early Simpsons. Established themselves as the cool/hip network and has since been a major player.
I think of everyone who was on that show, it must be weird to be Ed O'Neill...he's done plenty of things since, probably is absolutely nothing like Al Bundy in real life but I don't think I could look at him even this long after and not see him as Al Bundy. I'm sure Christina Applegate had a huge uphill battle getting past the dumb blonde image but seems to have successfully done it. Damn she was hot on MWC!
Funny, the episode on TV Land right now had Bill Maher in it as the host of a dating show...looks probably mid 90s and he had brown hair, looked funky lol.
