I do all my work on a desktop, dont really like designing on laptops. So parking myself down the street is out of the question

If the banging continues much longer I may end up calling it a day and going to the beach or something.

the main hole they were making is done, so the banging is more subdued now. There's still a bunch of people running around removing old tiles and preping the surface to put new ones in.
THings should be completely done on Friday (let's see how true that is)... after that we'll have about 2 months of peace and then we'll get the AC changed as well as some cosmetic stuff to the outside of the house.

It's a new home (just bought it on the 14th) so there's plenty to do... lucky me *sigh*

I know what you mean. We moved into this house in January and throughout the year have had tradesmen here doing various jobs. Whenever they're here I get little done. I sympathise with you.

Try living in one of the 3rd world countries experiencing heavy growth. In the past 4 years I've probably had 2-3 weeks of daytime silence. Constant building of condos, apartments, houses. Streets ripped up over and over, etc

I feel your pain! They've been repaving the road at the end of my driveway for a week now and keep blocking me in basically. I left once but they've got those guys holding the signs "Slow" and "Stop" so I'm afraid I'm going to run into someone coming the opposite way lol

They started about 7am today and didn't stop until about 45 minutes ago too. Big ass trucks tearing up the road and repaving it...ugh

EDIT: Yay, now my neighbor is mowing her lawn...and likes to cut half of mine so she can peep in my windows.
