When I was in Korea, some of the soldiers would pick up strays and keep them sometimes. Our LT had adopted a little mutt/beagle mix and let it run around the company area. Our 1st Sergeant kept warning him that if he didn't keep it in his room or on a leash he was going to get "rid of it". Low and behold, one day we all get called to a formation and the first Sergeant was standing over a little bridge with that dog in hand. He wrapped some 550 cord around it's neck, tied it to the bridge and tossed it over the side and let it hang. All we could do was sit there and listen to it die. I've seen some fucked up shit in my day, but Jesus, that was fucking brutal.

Huge animal lover here but I wouldn't condone your actions. You killed a dangerous dog, good. Your method might have been a bit nutty, hacking at it with a machete and then its not dead but other than that its a huge danger to you and others so fuck it.
If I had a dog attack me my family or my own dog I wouldn't think twice about fucking it right up. |
