The Simpsons

hey, i'm kinda lost here.
there are only 2 major DVDs on amazon.com: The Simpsons 1 season and The Simpsons 2 season (both have about 12 episodes only?)

But on TV they show an episode everyday, there must be dozens of them. Or am i missing something here ?

That's all they have out right now. I know with MASH they, FOX didn't release Season two until the middle of this year and it was supposed to come out 2 months before it did. And they claim the third season is coming out next Christmas, so probably 2004. Try looking up on www.foxhome.com and seeing when the others are coming out.

Um... Stuff on DVD comes out when they feel like releasing it. Generally, they take their time so they can make money off of it. Why are you surprised that not everything (something like 12 seasons, I think) is on DVD?

It's the same thing Lucas is doing with all the Star Wars.

Releasing them all individually on VHS/DVD. Then he'll release them as a trilogy set (1-3 AND 4-6). Then he'll release them as a whole movie box set (1-6). Then he'll 'Digitally' master something else and start all over again. There for making 10 times the amount of money off of 1 movie because everyone wants to have the new and improved one and wants to have the official trilogy and set of them.

The funny thing about that is Episode I DVD at Best Buy is $19.99, Episode II DVD at Best Buy is $19.99, a box-set containing both of them is $49.99...am I missing something?

Heh, I got mine for $14.47. Gotta love Wal-Mart Supercenter late at night. Get shit cheaper then what it's advertised all over the place for.

It's a box set and it's special and limited. They need to charge the extra $10 for the little nifty box it comes in.

what i wanted to know is:

Do they only release a few chosen-episodes on DVDs ? Like, not all the episodes created up to date ?

Because there are many more episodes that they show on TV.

I have every Simpsons on tape. Maybe someday I'd buy the box set once they have all seasons out.

I think the newest season of Simpsons and last years one kinda suck compared with the older seasons. Its sad because I'm a huge fan of the show and its going downhill.

"Bart sells his soul" - definitely one of my favorites, for the 'In The Garden of Eden" song alone.

http://snpp.com/episodes/3F23.html 'You Only Move Twice' (the Scorpio episode) is probably my second favorite

http://snpp.com/episodes/2F05.html 'Lisa on Ice' is fucking great though, so many classic lines...

"Me fail English? That's unpossible"

"Alright pie, I'm just gonna chew air like this, and if you get eaten, it's your own fault!"

etc. etc.

LOL, I DO! not sure why, I hate board games!

IMO, fox are fucking morons cause I know there are many Simpson fans that would have no problem shelling out $1000 to have say a 12 season box set on DVD RIGHT NOW. Shit, I'd prolly spend $2k to get em.

Urban legend has it that there is a complete running season DVD bootleg set floating around inner circles on some simpsons boards, that would be a fucking score!
