Nintendo's been horrible at keeping a steady stream of good games coming out and obviously hardware-wise they don't compare, but good lord...Wii Sports had been one of the most replayable games I've had in a long time and was the first game on the system ffs! I had been pining for a new Wii Sports and finally Resort has come and kicks about 100 times as much ass. Table tennis and frolf are fucking awesome, and the more realistic golf's nice too as well as the more realistic bowling (I'm a 208 avg bowler and the new one picks up my hook a lot more accurately than the old one did). I haven't even gotten into most of the other sports on it because of how awesome table tennis and frolf are. My friend has both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and in fact had both XBox and PS2 also...in fact the only Nintendo system he's had since SNES is Gamecube and he didn't end up getting many games for it (nor did I actually - was craptastic by Nintendo's standards IMO except for the Metroid Prime series and a handful of other games). The graphics on those systems are certainly awesome, and I actually do enjoy watching him play an RPG because the games can be so beautiful, but I don't really have an urge to play any of them. I wouldn't be surprised if there was no truly unique gaming experience on XBox 360 or PS3 that is any better or more fun to play than on previous regular video game systems, computer games or the Wii (Wii is weak on online play but computer games have had online play for eons and does it better IMO than XBox or PS3 could ever hope for :)). |

Just read an interview with Naughty Dog saying that there is no physical way they could even develop Uncharted 2 for Xbox 360 if they wanted to.
Now that's not exactly my style game, but I do see it as the beginning of companies realizing what kind of games they can release using the PS3's power. It's a 25GB game with zero load times throughout the game, for one thing; pretty impressive. |
Whatever happened to Zork?

ATARI 2600 rocks the house!!!

I prefer 360, but I've got a Wii and love playing games on that, and will be getting a PS3 soon. |
Now that's good news for me

lol at fanboys calling other people fanboys...I have all 3 systems and a PC if we are gonna go there...360 is by FAR the best for gaming and the PS3 is catching up argument is done the fucking things been out for 3 years.

I have to say that the Xbox 360 is the WORST quality video game console to EVER come out, I got 4 systems in my house and 5 times I had to send them out for repair and the 6th time, I had to buy a brand new system once because one of them was past the warranty period, that's what you call badly designed. Even the guys at the shipping store say that every day they package and ship up 4-5 consoles and I live in a small area, I can imagine what it's like in a big city. Hell, Microsoft is keeping UPS afloat. I guess that the one good thing I can say is that they are pretty fast and I was pretty happy to see a brand new replacement the last time when my elite edition shit out.
As far as the online capabilities, I got both and I gotta say that the Xbox360 online community/gaming does blow away the PS3, then again, PS3 is giving a free service whereas Microsoft is making a mint from their fees and can afford to make it great. I myself do think it's worth paying for :) As far as the games go, most of the "must have" games are on both systems, I know that Microsoft does have games like "Gears Of War", but PS3 has "Killzone" and the upcoming "Gods Of War", plus "Uncharted 2", so I think they're a little more balanced than people say, each system has a couple of must have exclusives. |

You're very fortunate that your system hasn't had that problem yet, ha ha. |

I really like my ps3 so far. I use it to stream movies/music etc from my desktop. Which kicks ass. I also love that you can easily install a partitioned and much larger hard drive. I can use linux on it, or the PS3 OS which means you can do other cool stuff.
