If we email our ex-Members with a special (come back for half price etc). Is that spamming ?

If they accepted when submitted the email that newsletter could be involved its ok I think.

NATS has a nice little 'mailok' checkbox just for this. So long as you unsubscribe them upon request or just send a single-expire mailer, I can't see why there'd be an issue.
