    No Dicks No Clicks - Fact Or Fiction?

    I don't personally believe this is reality, but a while ago an affiliate stated "no dicks, no clicks" and as long as most affiliates believe that, they will not aggressively join and promote softer content programs.

    I started http://www.BoobieMovies.com specifically because I don't always want to see dicks in my porn. I don't think I'm alone on this, but once a belief is out there, it is tough to change the status quo.

    I think affiliates are missing out on sales by limiting themselves to the "no dicks, no clicks" strategy.

    What do you guys think?

          Well it depends on the site and the traffic coming to it. The WMs that say no dick probably have hardcore traffic. There are plenty of successful softcore programs with of softcore WMs.

          We did a test on our mobile sites, one hardcore and one with just headshots. Now, TopBucks is typically known for hardcore, yet when we added the hardcore images conversions worsened. So we went back to headshots and sure as shit it went right back.

          We asked around and many men don't want to see dick, balls, hairy balls, and want to see the girls face.

                                              It really is an entirely different audience, which might lead to that assumption. Initially I was surprised and disappointed by the response to HerBedroomWindow because, despite being the same sort of real amateur content, it didn't covert nearly as well as our other sites on the same traffic. Then slowly new affiliates picked it up and started sending a different sort of surfer, and now it's doing better. So some want dicks, and some don't; it's the webmaster's job to sort and separate who's who.

                                                  after more competition or do you have softcore sites and feel hard pressed to get affiliates? if it is the affiliates factor i would not super concern yourself. concentrate on self generating your own traffic then seek out people you feel would be a good fit to promote you ans try to get them to join up, or find affiliates one at a time while being the best affiliate yourself. as you get 1 new affiliate spend time with that person getting them fully setup and full of good advice. when that person is trained move on to finding 1 more affiliate.
                                                  1 properly trained affilate in a small program is worth a lot more than hundreds of random affiliate sign ups where a good 80-90% will do shit for you.
