This is a remake of the 70's horror film that was banned in some countries. I liked it and think it is worth checking out on dvd.

Plot
----
While vacationing at their summer home, Emma and John Collingwood (Monica Potter and Tony Goldwyn) show kindness to a group of strangers, unaware that the same men just assaulted their daughter (Sara Paxton). Once they learn the truth, they set out on a no-holds-barred plan for revenge that can only end in bloodshed. Dennis Iliadis directs this updated remake of Wes Craven's 1972 horror classic by the same name.

Wow, this is out already? I remember hearing about the remake but didn't see anything advertizing a theatrical release. Straight to DVD?

I did like the first one alot. Most of the neg reviews seem to be dwelling on the torture porn aspects of the movie, which is what the original was famous for. Will check it out for sure.

people really should watch the original film of last house, then watch the extra's which include interviews. those provide very deep insight about the film.

i saw the trailers for zombies halloween 2, very cool and nice to see the same actors as his first. also loved his first in all ways, especially the nod to the originals by whom they cast in the female roles by bringing back danielle harris.
think it should be called rob zombies halloween 1, 2, so on.

I watched it last night. I cringed during the rape scene, and my gf cried. And this is from someone who lays down some extreme porn. If this were a porn and simulated the same way as simulated in the movie, you'd be locked up as soon as it got traffic. Talk about community standards and prurient interests. This is obscene in a nutshell, and yet is available for anyone to order. Only in America..
