thekingfinder give it up. This is just silly. Even as a most time lurker since the "blah blah is dead" thread I felt this was crap. Although sometimes I do get confused because as I recall your original personality as pathfinder was much more articulate. So once again I may be wrong. Being wrong sucks.

Simple answer. His two oldest children are married and have careers. The two youngest children both have relationships and have to earn a living. My mom has substantial finances and could hire someone to care for her, but she will not allow strangers into her home. I have several sources of income. Do not have to earn a living. I am not in any relationship and do not intend to be. In other words I was in a position to look after her so that is why my brother (Pathfinder's oldest son) asked me too. At first I agreed to do it for a temporary period of time. I moved from the L.A. area where my office and my home was and much of my other business interests. Since I have moved in with my mother I am enjoying the rural area, and have no intention of ever moving back to the city. I sold my business and my home and intend to care for my mom until she dies. Her health is frail, but her mind is sound and she is a very well educated (two masters) and intelligent woman. I intend to remain with here until she dies, which really could be any day or years.
