One thing i will say though. Many people believe that the reason he is being let out on "compassionate grounds" is because he possibly isn't even guilty in the first place.
The evidence was never substantial. He was convicted on the eye witness account of a Maltese shopkeeper 7 years later. High ranking judges who were involved in the case are still questioning the evidence and the strange behaviour of the shop keeper.
Who knows what the real story is...
