Sendmail and blocking virus emails

I'm currently trying to start blocking all those virus emails at the root, in sendmail....

just started getting 800 emails everyday... not really great if you ask me ;)

I was wondering if any of you guys would have a deny list already made with the most common virus emails that you'd like to share here :-D would save lots of time!

thanks

I've used this in the past, works rather well, and
very configurable.

We looked at this problem on our mail server and decided the best solution was to find an anti virus program to deal with it when you consider that it would cost about 450 a year for the anti virus it is worth it

Use mimedefang. It's a sendmail milter that integrates with spamassassin. Ask your server admin to install it, works great.

Cheers,

i use f-prot and mailscanner which are both free and do a really good job, it even includes spam assasin to help eliminate spam. if you do a search on the rackshack.net forum there is a good howto on installing it.
