Anyone in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica, or know it well?

I haven't been there in at least ten years.

My friends used to have a house on the main drag back in the early nineties and we'd all go down there to fish and surf. Jaco was such a nice place back then and is a MUCH different place now

I stayed at some place on the beach, just past the beatle bar. Crappy little pool, wasn't too bad..

I'd like something nicer this time around.

We stayed at a phenominal place when we stayed in jaco. Was down the street from where the tradeshow was. Private condo place... Varius would probably know but it wasn't right on the beach. Just a 30 sec walk

How do you like living down there? Can an American get a visa or whatever is required pretty easily?

Ya I was going to Say Keith or Bob are the ones to talk to. I've only stayed at the resort the Costa bash was held at. The wifi was eh.. so so maybe 1000 down if lucky. Good for browsing, maybe some light uploading. Beatle bar and Monkey bar in walking distance. You should know though Jeff, didn't you stay at the same hotel, or were you at the secondary hotel last year?

I stayed at Los Suenos. If 1st class is what you want, and you should want it. A private condo is the way to go. Club Del SoL was a pleasant visit.

I stayed in a place just past the Beatle Bar in the other direction, on the beach. Can't remember the name.

I just talked to Bob on ICQ - those condos are a sweet deal. I'm going down probably on the 10th. Not totally sure.

Anyone else?

Prob can't that soon too much going on. When are you going to be back in Panama? I still would like to visit down there at some point. Wish I could do Costa right now. Miss not having the show this year.
