Thank god he's not a Falcon anymore!

Long live "MattyIce"

V_RocKs 08-13-2009 08:33 PM

Remember when McNabb said he might not be back? This is the Eagles way of saying,

O'rly??

The Philly fans are tough. Unless Vick comes out of the gate looking like an All Pro on day one, he's going to be in for a tough ride. Even if he does play well most of the fans will only tolerate him at best.

I can already see hundreds dog bones flying out of the stands and onto the field :1orglaugh

Fuck the Eagles organization :321GFY

I disagree. Philly fans are tough, that is for sure. They throw batteries at players and rocks at Santa, but winning cures everything in sports. If Vick comes out and plays well and helps the team win and he is a good citizen, they will embrace him as a guy who got away from his past and redeemed himself.

Hmm... that what you meant to say?

He'll be playing TE. That or HB.

that is about right. Sports has a way of forgiving when you win. Look at a guy like Latrell Spreewell. This guy choked his coach and a few years later he comes back to basketball, becomes a model citizen and helped a team win and people love him. Or even Kobe Bryant. Kobe, at best, is a guy who cheated on his wife. At worst he is a rapist. Only he and that girl know the full truth. A few years ago his sponsors were dumping him and he was toxic, now he is the poster boy for the league.

People are missing the obvious story here.

Drunk Philly Fans vs PETA nuts brawling in the parking lot. Oh, that is going to be good. Getcha Popcorn Ready! (I'll take the Philly Fans in this fight).

Actually those were just regular snowballs they threw at Santa. Thirty years later they threw rocks wrapped in snow at Jimmy Johnson :1orglaugh

As for Vick the fans will cheer him if he wins, but they won't cut him any slack. Two or three bad series of downs in a row and the dog bones will start flying out of the stands. That's what I meant when I said the fans will tolerate him.

For sure. If he plays poorly he will never hear the end of it from them.
