i couldnt eat when a pet died, food probably not good idea, its like losing a member of the family...

Give a call, or drop by along with the gift. I know that if one of my dogs died(they're like kids to me, definitely a part of the family) I would really feel the sympathy with a gift.

12 pack of good beer....

I was house sitting for my friend and came by one of the days and his dog was on his way out stuck in the middle of kitchen, his hip was done... I had to take it to the vet and put his dog down...

Thats about as bad of position as it gets.... I made sure he had a 12 pack of good beer when he came home and was told what happened.
