Interesting thread but honestly at this point who cares. Nothing is going to change even if the claims are true. Personally I think if Obama was a foreign born citizen solid proof would have surfaced by now. Just sit back and enjoy the show for a few years...

A certified copy of a birth certificate obtained by a total nut job is proof that Obama was born in Kenya but a certified copy of a birth produced by the State of Hawaii doesn't mean anything.

Let's see, John McCain was born in Panama, yet he was eligible to be President. How can that be? Oh yes, because the law covers his situation.

And Obama? It's a moot point since Obama has already proven his citizenship, but even in the case that he was born in Kenya, he would still be a U.S. citizen, and eligible to be President of the United States...

Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)

A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.

Kenya was a Dominion the date this certificate was allegedly issued and would not become a republic for 8 months.


Mombasa belonged to Zanzibar when Obama was born, not Kenya.

So I wonder this. Say he was born in Kenya or some other place. His mom is still a US citizen, so does it matter? If she was a citizen so would he be. So even if he was born in lower Botswana it doesn't matter. Since his mom is a US citizen he would still be as well.

Is that being too rational?

Got it. Didn't realize there was special requirements. I just thought you had to be a citizen at birth.
