    short sale -- ?

    Can you make a short sale offer just 4 weeks before the house is scheduled to be auctioned at the sheriff sale?

      I think you can always make an offer. Short sales are hard to get done though.

          If the Short Sale is "approved" by the bank, sure.

          Nowadays, the banks will hear ANYTHING $
          and anything is better than letting it go to auction.

          You better get in there before somebody thrashes the place.
