    Sad to see shit like this happen...

    Wired just sent me an offer for 2 years @ $16.95.

    How in the fuck do they afford to do that?

    Back in or around 2001 when my brother turned me on to the magazine it was $39.95 a year firm... Sad shit...

    PC Magazine just sent me back my remaining subscription money as they turned digital only. I grew up on PC Magazine... My pops still has issues from back when PC's were sitting pretty with 128mb of ram. How could you ever hope to fill that up?

    I like Wired, but they fuck over Canadians huge... you guys get it for pennies on the dollar, but if I want it, it's like $39.95 a year in USD.

    After I canceled, they tried getting me back, but there's no offers for out of country subscriptions, besides I can read the good stuff online anyways.

          I agree with you...Our company started purely because the print media market is dying. With mobile gadgets being able to get interactive media it kind trumps old school magazines.

            I just got a magazine subscription for $6/year. I don't see that one lasting much longer either.

                I bought a book the other day with my credit card. The clerk asked me if I would like 6
                free issues of one of the magazines she rattled off. I said no.

                What happens is they send you the six free issues and then start charging you for subscription with the credit card you used unless you figure out how to cancel.

                The clerk also asked if I wanted to join their book club and some other thing which I declined. Kind of sucks when all you want to do is buy a book and you have to dodge about a half dozen upsells

                  Wow, I have Pc Magazine from 1988 - 1991.. when you had to walk uphill both ways to get to your computer.

                  Sad to see magazines fall off, and even books. I cant imagine using one of those kindle things or some device to read a book or article.
