I think the whole industry feels pretty much the same way on this one.

and the whole industry will be much smaller in the coming months/year as a result.

And what does that tell you about the potential for anything to be done?....If some "big guys" are contacting you bitching about it and they're too scared to even be involved in this THREAD, then why in the fuck would they bother to even send a nasty email to someone stealing their content?....

As long as those "big guys" keep sending them traffic like everyone else(see xxxjays sig) - nothing will change.

It will change the day the government/visa pull the plug on us, and not one day before.

I would think that the name in the sig + domain + my bad english + people still reffer to me as EBUSDK + the fact im loud and obnoxious like a fat kid at MacDonalds, would make it clear to most people who I am.

I agree, Brazzers is trying to squeeze everyone else out.

The real shame of it is they have good content, good sites, and run a good webmaster program. They can compete and do well in the market without trying to fuck every other company in the business by hook or crook.

They are spending an assload of money to monopolize a shrinking industry.

I'm not so sure about the irreversible part.

Think about it....content that is even a couple of months old on the net is kinda "dead" for sales anyway.

So if and when something happens to put a stop to it, I'd say within 4 to 5 months this business would be totally resurrected. I'm sure a lot of experts will say I'm wrong. But in my opinion, and from my experiences...that is what I think would happen.

In the case of tubes... the recovery would begin almost immediately. For torrents it would take a little longer because of the mass spread of full site rips that are now downloaded on millions of hard drives.

But even then...look at what would happen: Let's say a guy has the entire OC Cash library of sites sitting on his hard drive from where he downloaded them from a torrent.

That's all he'll ever need ever again...right? No. OC Cash will put up new updates with new stuff that he can't see. And eventually, a few months down the line there will be enough new stuff to make him feel like he's missing out.

I know this because I protect my content and shut that shit down a few months ago. So now only our old scenes can be found (at least until removeyourcontent gets them yanked too). After a couple of months our sales picked back up because people could see the new trailers for all the new scenes and then could not find them for free. So they started buying memberships again.

Since the majority of the program owners out there didn't believe you could protect your content without pissing the members off, they are now hurting bad. But I have seen the results and I know that once something happens to shut down piracy it will happen for everyone else too.

Or to make it simpler...everybody could quit getting pissed about it and just start protecting their content. Problem solved.

Here is the issues that makes Tube a better value for every one (except for the content owner).

1. Lax laws including DMCA allows people to run tube sites with out much worry.

2. The bandwidth cost is going down every day ....its down as much as 2$/Meg and when the 100G optics goes into service by year end you will see that cost going down to 50 cents / meg.

3. Their are adult busienss that are willing to buy traffic from Tube sites so they make money....or in some Tubs cases upsellls are their own business.

4. Adult don't have some thing like MPAA, we got FSC but they cant seem to do any thing except for to ask more donation.

5. Surfers hate adult companies thanks to all the over billing shit we do

6. People want to cut back on spending due to economy, this is like going from drinking bottle water to tap water.

So how do you compete with this ?

I think that is true, as long as we are talking about user submitted content. But this aint submitted content. This is staffmembers - fully aware that they are stealing - upload stolen content to their server

but personally I dont care any more. I just stick with companies I trust dont take part in those kind of actions.

Very true, but you have to prove it in a court of law, which would require an insider with a lot of documentation.
