    So I'm trying to make MY first blog and...

    So I just downloaded and installed WordPress 2.8.6. When I log into the admin it seems none of the AJAX stuff is working in ANY browser. None of the "Upload/Insert" buttons do anything. Nor does "Screen Options" or even the "Help" tab. On creating a new post, clicking the "HTML" tab does nothing. And when I type in the Visual text area it's white text on a white background. This is a clean, default install.

    I have designed many themes in the past -- and integrated them, made sample posts and everything. This is the first time I have ever seen these issues.

    Anyone else? Tips? Info...

      Re-Upload all the WP files. Perhaps something was corrupted during transfer.

              nvm, did you use firefox? if so try some other browser many times it get stupid for nothing :S

                  I have used FF, Chrome and Safari. I have checked in IE since my last post and there is a JS error:

                          it's funny... when a webmaster asks how to fight bad sales etc..

                          or asks: What do you mean with "Diversify, Adapt and Change", nobody answers... or gives ironic responses.

                          however, ALWAYS and every time, someone asks anything about wordpress, someone jumps in instantly and starts helping until the guy get the problem resolved.

                          Funny and strange. Makes me wonder.

                              could it be a problem with the server?

                              try loading the files on a different server if you have access to one and see if you have the same problem. if you do not then you know its your server.
