The vatican is filled with a bunch of sociopaths

Short version: 9 year old girl gets raped, gets pregnant, has abortion. The church, in its infinite wisdom, decides to focus on what really matters: condemning the abortion.

Several months later, the pope and his posse of criminally insane eunuchs decide they can't just let the issue rest, and bring up the issue once more.

The highlight in the story is a quote worthy of Eichmann himself: "You can't start backpedaling just because the real-life situation carries a certain human weight."

It's almost a shame that there isn't a God, because if there was, these cunts would spend eternity burning

I disagree.

I'm not religious at all myself but I did realise it gives millions of people HOPE. Whether someone loses a relative or simply needs some guidance in life, religion does keep them on the straight path. The humanity is just so corrupted they took something fine and used it as an excuse to shit on the world. I don't think religion is to blame for that.

But yeah, the Vatican are a bunch of delusional idiots that took the whole thing a bit too seriously.

The vatican is a bunch of relics from a time long passed.

if the religious had their way we would still not be allowed to do stem cell research, that bit of research alone could propel us forward, and the religious have been the main thing blocking it over the past years, and that is just ONE example.

you can't fully believe that abortion is murder AND a sin against God and then say "well, ok... this time, abortion isn't murder or a sin against God"

its a very simple exercise in 2nd grade reason and logic... that doesn't require a whole lot of dissection to understand. you don't have to agree with it to at least understand that abortion can't simultaneously be a sin against god and murder and "ok sometimes"

Why not? The Catholic Church picks and chooses how they feel on other issues. Do they think a layman who likes the little boys should just be shuttled off to another town in another state? Hey, it was good enough for the priests.
