HCG is used by males as an adjunct to steroid use and by males undergoing testosterone supplementation to help kick start the body's natural testosterone production. As such it is legally prescribed in those undergoing hormone replacement therapy. In females it has several uses in relation to pregnancy. Using it for weight loss as some have suggested is a bunch of nonsense though if that is what you are asking about. You can read a bit more on the Wiki entry

it is a powerful hormone that shouldn't be taken lightly, it will have feedback effects while on it and rebound effects after you come off, using it for weightloss seems crazy especially if you haven't done everything else in your power to lose weight seriously
