Hi, im travelling to Germany soon, anybody can tell if there is easy to buy a prepaid SIM card in the airport? Which one is the best for local calls, T-Mobile, O2 or any other?

Not sure about at the airport, but there's tons of small phone stores all over that sell them.

Düsseldorf International Airport has a shop, if I remember right. I don´t know about Frankfurt and Munich.
But you can find several T-Punkte (they call their shops T-Punkt) in every city: http://suche.t-punkt.de/tpunkte/ Just enter your city into the search form or select from the drop down list. T-Mobile and Vodafone are the best providers because they are available all over Germany. The others may have connection problems here and there. Blau sells cheap cards and you can select your phone number, but it´s the E-Plus net. You´ll find Vodafone shops in every city as well. |

It´s per minute as clearly stated in their terms and conditions. The price does not depend on the data volume. The only problem is that you don´t get the full HSDPA speed.
If you need assistance getting your prepaid card and you´ll be in the Düsseldorf area, fell free to contact me and I´m helping you out. |

I just use my regular T-Mobile line when in the EU. Works fine. Or are you talking about Internet access? If so, Vodafone.

I'm talking using my Nokia E71 not only for convos but say some surfing, some skyping and email checking, GPS, its common overhere its billed per data transferred and HSDPA works at both prepaid and contract.

Adultmix, using HSDPA with full speed is usually paid per data transferred, but t-mobile offers for prepaid card this only option which they bill per minute.
