I don't think he was murdered.

But it would be a fact that if MJ appeared to not be able to pull this tour off then
he was definitely worth more money dead than alive.

So the cops will probably take a look at things even if there isn't much reason
to believe foul play occurred. Just standard procedure, because you never know until
you actually look into it.
