absolutely - a wire for $3000 just came in this morning. i was waiting for it since March 26th and had politely asked several times for payment
things like that happen but i can deal with it as long as people keep communicating and admit their problems. I have one client who owes me like $1.5k who just lost his house - i know that i will not see the money soon. but i know that he will pay as soon as he can afford it. but it's the ignoring part that drives me mad.Comment

What we are talking about here is the outstanding invoice which you have promised to pay numerous times and failed to do so every time!
I have Bills to pay just like everyone else, your failiure to follow tru on your last promise to pay, resulted in me having to rob Peter to pay Paul as I sent a payment to someone else based on your assurances that you pay me.
But, that is neighter here nor there, it is water under the bridge. What you are doing here is making another promise, after ignoring me for a couple of months, to pay me when you can.
I am sorry that is NOT good enough at this point. If I went to the bank and told them I will pay you soon as I can, they would laugh me out of the place.
Ben, with all due respect, I need payment NOW, not more empty promises.

Years ago, i had agreed to work with Claudia. they were going to send a bunch of computers since they ran linux software on all their chat computers and it was easier for them to just set them up and ship them.
Anyway... long story short, i had built a new studio... putting a couple hundred thousand dollars into it, relocating staff to a new city etc etc etc and had massive overhead... and had a deal with Claudia to dedicate it to her. it was very clear that i had some major expenses and had timed everything to start working with her on a specific date which we all agreed to time and time again.
That day came and went... still waiting on computers. i would call and ask Ben where they were. "oh,, they are going out first thing in the morning". this went on for like a month. literally a month. Me begging them all every couple of days and telling them that it was costing me like $50,000 in that month to pay all over head with no one working.
Still i would call him and he took it a step further to telling me they had been sent for sure, telling me he would icq the tracking numbers etc.... THAT fucking continued for a few weeks or more. I mean literally the guy would say they had ALREADY been sent and then come up with an excuse two days later and then say AGAIN they had ALREADY been sent again... come up with an excuse etc etc ... it went on again for a month like that. So imagine... now, i'm out close to 100k when i could have put the girls live elsewhere.
REMEMBER Ben? Do you remember spamming your ICQ list and you asking me to vote for you on ratethewebmaster.com or whatever the fuck that netpond abortion was and me telling you that you were undoubtedly one of the biggest fucking idiots and unreliable and disingenuous people in this biz? Do you remember your shock and surprise? then i refresh your memory about who i am and suddenly out comes 100 excuses as to why nothing is your fault?
You are full of shit. You're an used car salesman who does little more than just tell people what they want to hear and you take ZERO responsibility for anything that comes out of your fucking mouth.

Wait, is this web arm of Metro distribution? Do they still own all those adult stores on the East Coast? They did have a huge catalog of DVD titles.
A few years ago (and might still be today) Metro was such a bad pay that just about EVERYONE had them on C.O.D. If you gave them terms you'd get burned.
