I had to take two cars off Hawaii to go back to the UK, this week.
I flew them to LAX as it was only moderately more expensive than the shipping, takes 2 days as opposed to weeks (and then having to wait until they tell you they're opening the containers) and you don't have to deal with the fucking unions in Hawaii.
