15th and 31st of each month .. but what if it's feb or a leap year or a month with 30 days?

i like every other friday ONLY because some cheap employers will wait until the next business day if the 1st or 15th falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, or a holiday

okay this is very easy...............every other friday here's why
there are 12 months in a year that = 12 first's and 12 15ths for a total of 24 paydays

if you get paid every other friday or every other week it goes like this
there are 52 weeks in a year..........if you divide that by 2 = 26 paydays

I like that a lot of my sponsors have different paydays... Between Mondays, Fridays, 1st / 15th, 7th / 22nd, and the guys that pay a day or two in advance or a day or two late, I get payments every day.

The Friday option because not all months have a 31st

By "31st" the original poster clearly meant "last day of month be it 28, 29, 30 OR 31 depending on the month"

Assuming that the annual amount is the same under both schemes then the choice is whether you want 24 payments in the year or 26 smaller but slightly more frequent payments.

I would favor the 26 smaller payments because you see the money quicker UNLESS there is a receiving cost per payment which would make the 24 receiving costs cheaper than the 26.
