Featured in some movies, I guess it's pretty famous.
From the site:
Mickey's Diner has been featured on the Food Network series Unwrapped, Roker on the Road, Rachel Rays' Tasty Travels, and Alton Browns' Feasting on Asphalt. Mickey's has appeared in The Smithsonian, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Easy Rider, Playboy and Elle magazines. Mickey's Dining Car has been replicated as a collectible by Department 56, The Danbury Mint and Saks Fifth Avenue. The Mighty Ducks I, II, III, Jingle All the Way and A Prairie Home Companion movies contain scenes that were shot on location at Mickey's.

GOOD TIMES!!!
I hear they serve flowers there as well and also have a great place at the end of the patio for the ganja smokers
Oh and if someone where to come to visit me in my new town, since I am no longer in Vancouver, I would have to cook them lunch myself since there is only one restaurant here and it sucks ass

there are over 120 restaurants and bars in Whistler (a resort town with a population of only 9600 people), but if you can only dine at one place, the decision is easy: http://www.rimrockwhistler.com/
Hmm... In July? McDonalds. Everything else is fucking closed.. My wedding anniversary is on the 15th, and we always have hunt a restaurant that's open.. I'd say 75% of the restaurants are closed..
There are two great places I love in hollywood. One is the 101 coffee shop on Franklin. The food is ok but the place is very punk rock and just has a great atmosphere. The other is El Compadre on Sunset across from the Guitar Center. Best food ever!
Jman, there is a Portugese restaurant right next to Shwartz'. The pan fried sardines are out of this world, I rec it highly.
It is indeed a great place my friend but if you come back to Montreal I will take you to Braseiro, one of the best Portugese place I have been and it's like a hole in the wall.
if i was still living in MTL, i'd take them to Thursday's on Crescent for a late lunch that spills into a happy hour
ps: is that place still open? i haven't lived there in over 6 years LOL
