I have been reinstalling programs for the past

...couple of days...since doing a clean install of a new operating system. Boring as hell but I should be finished in a couple of more hours.

Nope. I tried everything I know and some things that were suggested by others. It must be as you described your problem.

That sucks. Hopefully you can get it fixed. Having computer issues can be very frustrating.

One problem I am bumping into is the new OS does not like all of my old programs and I am having to update and/or replace.

Well it is irritating but I have another computer that has a CD drive but no DVD drive and I have an 8 gig thumb drive...so I am getting by. If I cannot figure out some way for the OS to accept the DVD drive I wil purchase a new one and give it a try. Maybe put the current one in the other computer if it will fit...but I think it is to big/

I found a few websites this week that aid in getting your apps reinstalled after an OS install.

              Spend you some brain.
