Most homes here dont have AC either. And you would never even begin to imagine that. But its really not that hot and we almost always have a nice breeze.

This thread reminds me of last summer in Melbourne, Australia... the temperature peak that day was an all time record, 46C / 115F. It had never gone that high since weather recording began in the 1800s.
