I also noticed a lot more shorter movies on that site. Today there are only a couple movies that are over 10 minutes long, the rest are much shorter. I wonder if the give it all away for free model suddenly isn't working so well.Comment

You mean a preroll? Been around for ages, and off course its a way to monetize. Just like postrolls, and midrolls (the thingies you see when you push pause on the player).
Its amazing how much these things get clicked, and how they convert.

the sad thing is that programs like AFF and Livejasmin are getting super saturated so that all surfers have seen them 1000 times before they even bother to look around the rest of the non-big-tube internet

Very true, in fact my domains that contain the words "porno tube" seem to have more traffic then some of my better domains with similiar content. I even have one with the words "red tube" that does okay for not having much content. (I will most likely let this one expire since redtube is trademarked.)Comment

One of my pet hates (on a mainstream site) is a 20 second preroll for a 30 second clip. Bonus points if other 30 second clips also show the same preroll.Comment
