I eat what makes me feel the most healthy. If we don't kill things to eat, we die. Of course, plants are living things too.

why do people hate on vegetarians so much? are we such a threat?

Does it not make you sad that the plants you ate for your latest meal possibly let out a scream of chemicals to it's neighbors in terror of being killed?

Plants produce tasty fruit for the specific reason that you eat it. The fruit contains seeds and the plants want animals to take the fruit, eat it somewhere else, and leave (or crap out) the seeds so that new plants can grow.

It's an evolutionary adaptation to promote the spread of the species. If plants produce tasty stuff, it means they want you to take it and eat it.

we are only on this planet for an extremely short time in comparison to infinite eternity, so how long something lives or when it dies is really insignificant on a time basis, the humaneness of it is the important thing, pain and suffering should always be minimized, torture and prolonged painful death is not cool, but humanely putting something to sleep is sometimes a very good thing
