    photo editing help..

So I have decided to stop paying others to edit my pics when I know I can do it myself! Now I need to figure out where to start and who is willing to take the time to teach me.. I'd even be willing to pay for it.
I guess step #1 is what kind of photo editing software should I buy? Can I use a free program or is there one out there that costs $ but is worth it? I'd be willing to spend up to a couple hundred dollars for a GOOD PROGRAM, I can prob get one of my customers to buy it for me

Keep in mind my editing jobs are pretty easy, I usually have a freckle on my forehead and perhaps a couple spots on my ass or pussy..sometimes I have a hair that's outta place or I am in a weird position and I have weird lines on my butt or neck.. simple stuff like that..I am NOT into the plastic smoothed out skin cartoonish look that a lot of people use..ugh why do you guys do that?

So I just need an easy to operate and easy to learn photo editing prog that I can so some simple natural looking edits on that doesn't cost too much.. what do you guys suggest? Thanx in advance for helping me out

I use a combo of 3 editors - Elements, Pshop7 and a very old copy of Aldus Photostyler (for touchups and easy cloning).

Ulead PhotoImpact is another excellent editor - and FAR cheaper than Pshop. Ulead is the same company that originally created Aldus Photostyler in the early 90s.

photoshop definitely - for the type of things you are talking about that you want to edit/retouch all you need to learn is the healing tool and clone tool. there are lots of tutorials out there - it takes a little time and patience to learn but not too much.

the Photoshop plug-in Portraiture is great - it's what a lot of people use to get that smooth plastic look that you don't like BUT it can be used more subtlely.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

It is not hard to edit pics with what you are looking to do. You are already perfect, so the small blemishes would be a breeze for you to learn. If I can do it so can you

No offence - but Corel apps suck for photo editing. Yes, I know PSP has been around long before Corel acquired them...but its still a clunky app and not as efficient as other cheaper competing apps.

                        Hey girl!

Hit me up and I will go through everything you need to know. I have a whole system down and with digital retouching the workflow is key. You only need a couple programs to do everything from editing, retouching, resizing, branding, and uploading.

Plus I need to talk to you about that Duct Tape/Razor Blades/ Trash Compactor shoot

Why do you use all three? So you will take one pic and drag it through all 3 editors, how long does that take you?

Oh I am so glad you still want to shoot with me! I don't remember us discussing the Duct Tape/Razor Blade etc but I'm down if you are that will be some.. um.. interesting content for my site LOL!
So you say I need a couple of programs..I've read every post and it sounds like I'm not going to get off paying nothing for a good prog but it's an investment into my future and not having to pay others to do the work I could be doing
My email is [email protected] and I've been hitting the gym almost every day and I'm getting new extensions in 2 weeks from now so I guess it's back to shooting for me I'm ready Plz email me whenever! XO
