Need A Good Las Vegas based Adult Biz Lawyer

A model friend of mine in Las Vegas was screwed over by a program - they shot her for free, were supposed to split 50/50 on her site, they never paid her, then closed her site and put all of her content on another one of their sites, and won't let her use the content they shot. The domain name for her site now re-directs to the program's site where they are profiting off of her pix and vids which they never paid her a modeling fee for.

Also, they won't provide her with a copy of the original contract.

Can anyone provide a reference to a good Las Vegas based adult biz attorney?

Frankly, that kind of scenario does not surprise me any more in this industry.

There are a couple of lawyer that pop up at the shows, but I do not think they are Vegas based. Here's a bump for ye.

The attorney doesn't necessarily have to be Vegas based, I wouldn't think for a case like this. Consult with Pornlaw (http://adultbizlaw.com/). I think he's the man for these kind of cases. I believe it's him representing Flower Tucci in her lawsuit, and he can at least tell you if it would be practical for him to get involved.

Thanks for the plug... Have her email me ( michael(at)fattlegal.com ) and I will try to help her out. If she really wants someone based in Vegas... Clyde DeWitt has offices there and he is licensed in Nevada.

Did she sign a contract and get a copy of the contract? It would be pointless to get a lawyer in Vegas unless she has these things. And if she has the above, email me at [email protected]

It's not my fight - just trying to help a friend.

I doubt many people would know of the program - they seem to be in it more as a hobby to shoot models for free and hit on them, than for the business $$$ (there are actually companies like that).

Actually, I believe if you are involved in a contract dispute, it is incumbent upon both parties to share the contract with one another.

Basically, the model was naive and trusted these people to act in her best interest, but instead they screwed her over. The contract will settle much of the matter, since I assume they wrote it in such a way to benefit themselves and cover their ass.

However, there may still be other issues involved, since the model has received zero compensation and the company is profiting from her photos and videos.

Thanks.... I will do my best. I hate when models get ripped off like that. It is that difficult to do "good business" anymore ? If someone does the work they should get payed.
