About 11 years ago my mum got 5 numbers on the lottery tho and won almost £2000.

I think about twice a year I buy a scratcher card...I think I've won about $5 to this day. :1orglaugh

Yes! And it's stupid!

Yaaa, I play once in a while but it is the worst gamble there is in gambling. Payout is around 50% of intake.

I used to own a Party Store with a Lotto machine. It was surprising how many people are totally addicted to Lotto games and scratch offs. We had a lady that worked for the Post Office (made good money) and used to spend an average of 80-100 per day on Bingo scratch off tickets.

One day she received her yearly Christmas bonus of over 800 dollars. Next day she showed up and spent about 1500 dollars on instant tickets till she was broke. Her car had about 1" of that scratch off crumbs on the floorboard of her front seat.

Many others had a 3 and 4 digit daily habit. Many as high as $100 per day.

Saw many many people spend their weekly earnings on trying to get lucky.

What a shame. :(

I don't but I always tell myself that I should. Fact is, the chances of winning are small, but there is an absolute zero chance of winning without playing. There are people that have won large sums of money more than once playing the lotto, and the chances of doing that are like trillions to one odds.

A month and a half ago the jackpot was about $32 mil here in canada and I bought some tickets.

The winning #'s were
08 20 22 29 33 49

I had two rows back to back that went like this

08 21 22 25 30 49
08 20 27 29 33 45

Still stings. hehehe.
