Illegal Tube Site vs Legal Tube Site

Illegal being defined as those who do not license/buy content, and claim user submits.

I am looking for examples of both. I know Mr Frisky has a legal one. Some others are hosting sponsor videos are another. Just looking for a comparison between the two.

Fire away.

Seems to me there are legal ones and then those that pretend that surfers upload all the illegal movies. Either way I don't think legal ones are very profitable.

stupid thread. you can't determine here what is legal and illegal.

you are just obfuscating the debate with your terminology, a debate which is 2-4 years old already and pretty much put to rest.

True. However, I am looking for some broad examples.

Some have went the way of 1997, stealing first, make a mint on advertising, and then goign to the licensed content business model. Some are just stealing claiming use submits, and then others are legal, licensed content.

Sure you can. If the tube site includes so called "user submitted" content it's illegal.

It's as fucking simple as that.

you should send a support ticket to google and let them know they are running an "illegal" tube site.

Ummm, the definition of illegal is

Quote:
il⋅le⋅gal

 /ɪˈligəl/ [i-lee-guhl]
?adjective
1. forbidden by law or statute
User submitted content is legal, it complies with current law.

I agree that it's a totally fucked up situation and that the law needs a re-write to keep up with technology, BUT, calling it illegal is stupid because you get bogged down in a fucking semantic argument and never get to have the discussion you wanted to have in the first place.

You and OP could do all of us a favor by putting your heads together to come up with new terminology to describe the different types of tube sites.

I ain't talking legalize here. Illegal tubes, in the sense that most of us view the term, are about robbing honest webmasters and affiliates and you know that as well as anyone else.

The problem with your argument is that it's wrong.

Laugh on that one for awhile.
